Tick it off the List
I am relaxed now. I am relaxed because I know that everything has been fixed and corrected in our great nation. Our new energy policy is formulated. Tick it off the list. Our foreign policy long-range plan is finalized, as are the intermediate-term strategies and short-term tactics to implement it. Tick. I also feel better that the housing situation in this country is now corrected. Tick. The immigration issue is dealt with. Tick. Healthcare inflation is corrected! Tick. The middle class is alive and well, finally! Tick these all off the list.
Tick them off the list, because they must be solved. Why on earth would our government representatives be focusing on retention bonuses in TARP firms? Why am I witnessing a vote on cable news about such a minute, populist, issue rather, than a vote on bill(s) that must have been drafted to fix and solve the above-mentioned critical issues? Steroid Hearings Part Deux is next. Stay tuned after this commercial message from our sponsor, the Kremlin.
Sal,
This mess makes me equally uncomfortable. Isn’t it enough that we have the IRS as a “silent” partner in business? Is this a prelude to the nationalization of companies like AIG? “New Sweeden” here we come… and I only say this half jokingly!
I’m enjoying your regular blog posts; keep up the good work and my best wishes to everyone in your office!
